This
is the letter that I wrote to my little daughter on 16th of October
2014. I know she won’t able to read my letter today, but one day she will have
perfect time read it.
Dear
Jigme,
Today
is the day, you came into this world. You have crafted angelic and stunning
grins on the faces of everybody around you. Flowers around you had blossomed out
of season with the falling of light shower from the sky. A spectrum of rainbow was
seen on the other side of the mountain and the birds around us were singing melancholy
songs to celebrate with us, during your first landing on this earth on 16th
of October 2008.
Everyone
in the country was celebrating an unprecedented event of His majesty 5th
king’s coronation. Our national flags
were flung in an every corner of the country and fellow Bhutanese citizens were
celebrating the joyous occasion with utmost exaltation. Yet I was celebrating
two things simultaneously, with you sleeping my lap and watching the live
telecast of historic events on national television.
Today
you turned exactly six and you appear to be burgeoning wiser day after day.
Your presence in this world makes my presence too. You mean a lot to your mummy
and me. We believe that, you are the gift of god to us and we have every reason
to treasure you above anything else. You will be never alone even after we
leave this uncertain world; you have all our love and care.
Yours,
loving Daddy.
