Zhemgang is not a trash can.

Whether he is an under performer or an extraordinary performer, it is not the concern of Zhemgangpas. Rather our concern is on MoE’s blind and unauthentic transfer to Zhemgang. Zhemgang is not a place of rehabilitation in the first place. As Thimphu aspires to have good set of motivated and enthusiastic teachers, Zhemgang also anticipates for the same. And that is the rights of young Zhemgangpas as bestowed by the constitution of Bhutan and UN child conventions.

Logically I don’t see any rationale behind for MoE to transfer Mr. karma Tenzin to Zhemgang. If he is found of guilty of an offence, there are BCSR rules and RCSC ct in place to play with the game. After having flipped BCSR rule 2012 and RCSC Act 2010 from head to toe, I have never came across a word meaning that a civil servant must transfer to Zhemgang on a disciplinary background.

The role of teachers in any nation is not matter of joke. As former education minister Thakur says; “If education sector succeed no other sectors will fail and if education sector fails no other sectors will succeed”. Teachers are the key stakeholders and backbone of education sector. They are the mirrors to the eyes of future generations. A good teacher always strives to be the best example in the eyes of students and prepare them for life. He or she never gives a fish but teaches how to fish. In fact teacher’s roles have no limit and boundary.

I am totally shocked by the ad hoc and unmindful decision of HR committee, MoE. I believe the currently serving civil servants in Zhemgang may not welcome this news. Simply because general public may conceive that all civil servants of the dzongkhag got placement due to same reasons. Why don’t MoE place him right under the nose of ministry if they really want to observe his performance?
