Come HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015.

Someone said “Do what I say but don’t do what I do” and it is one of the most popular dialogues that we use it, while uttering advices to our children, students and anyone whom we feel to advice. And among many, I am the one to use this dialogue very frequently with my students and my own children.

Many of us feel insecure to explore oneself in the public domain and we do it under secrecy. But never the less we do share our habits and secret business with our loved ones, trusted ones and whom we feel comfortable to share with.

But I have chosen to reveal my secrecy to all my blog readers although many may refuse to share in such public forum. We simply choose not to share because what is normal in one society is an abnormal in another society.

Waite a minute, don’t get too curious to know my secrecy. It is just a matter of a second. Alas, I used to imbibe occasionally, yet I have never been in an inebriated state even for once. Believe me I was being fed with local brew Banchang( meaning alcohol prepared at home) by my parents as a food surplus right after my  birth, I am sure.

My parents being an illiterate person, they lived in the world of orthodoxy and with their abundant orthodox beliefs, they did fed me with intoxicant as means of sharing their love, concern, comfort etc. There is nothing wrong with my parent’s decision I must admit. However I never nibbled a single mouthful of doma( betel nut wrap by betel leaves with little lime) that many Bhutanese used to chew.

Having physically, psychologically and socially matured with my little education bestowed by royal government of Bhutan, I feel I am bit wiser than my parents. It may be too early for me talk about my New Year resolution for the year 2015, yet I will take this chance to pre- share my new resolution to you, that is to completely stop imbibing with effect from HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015.
